Private Ballet Lessons Ages 3-5

Miss Theresa will teach the student(s) all of the ballet positions they will need in order to progress (ballet positions 1-5). She will start with the student(s) posture to make sure they are standing up straight in order to hold themselves up during ballet and the rest of the day! Theresa begins the class with pliés and continues on with tendus and grand battements. Releve walks are added along with chane turns. Ending the class with some short stretches to avoid any injuries.

Private Ballet Lessons Ages 5-10

Miss Theresa will teach and review all of the ballet positions the student(s) will need in order to progress (ballet positions 1-5). She will begin each class making sure that they are standing up straight in order to hold themselves up during ballet and the rest of the day! We will do a quick warm up of pliés, tendús and grand battements. We will slowly add in changements and jetés which focus on quick movements both on the ground and in the air. Each class will end with some short stretches to avoid any injuries.

Private Ballet Lessons Ages 10-15

Miss Theresa will review all of the ballet positions the student(s) will need in order to progress (ballet positions 1-5). She will begin each class making sure that they are standing up straight in order to hold themselves up during ballet and the rest of the day! We will do a very quick warm up of pliés, degagés and jetés. This class will focus on pirouettes starting with singles and moving on to doubles after finding success with the single pirouettes. Miss Theresa will also be sure to focus on the specific technique that the dancers need such as pointed toes, strong arms and a strong core.

Private Ballet Lessons Ages 15-18

At this point in the dancer’s ballet career, Miss Theresa is to assume that the student(s) is familiar with all of the ballet positions (ballet positions 1-5) including pliés, tendús, and grand battements. However, practice makes perfect! There is always room for improvement which is why Miss Theresa puts a lot of emphasis on going back to the basics and making sure that the student(s) technique is up to par before progressing to grand jetés, developés and the like. Each class will end with a short stretching session in order to avoid any injuries.
